Moving onto the corn crop finds part the Johnson Team back on the road. They dubbed themselves "The Tri-State Harvesters" and work in a corn field in North Dakota in October.
"The Tri-State Harvesters" make quick work of standing corn during a sunny afternoon in North Dakota.
Late into the harvest season the weather turns bad as a snow storm sweeps in from the Dakotas into western Minnesota. Just after this photo was taken the crew was forced to stop on account of wet accumulating snows.
Hey Jordan, want to do another sun dance like you did back in Harrold? Accumulating snow on the corn header is a bad thing when it is wet. The team quit and headed back to the farm to await better weather.
The crew is back at it a day or so later, knocking out fields of corn in rapid succession.
Here's a rare shot of the tractor and grain cart coming out to take another load of corn from the combine.
Meanwhile the corn harvest continues in Minnesota as weather across the Dakotas declines.

Whoops! A railroad picture -- A BNSF train of War Bonnet paint Santa Fe locomotives hauls a unit grain train through western Minnesota. The harvest was wrapped the first week of December 2008. IT was a long and adventure filled season for which no one will forget. This concludes Dan Trostel's experience working the Great Wheat Harvest. He has taken a position with a dealer as a combine technician.
